Omaha Dance Project   2018

Omaha Dance Project (ODP) is the Academy’s community performance program open to dancers throughout the community. Its goal is to provide non-professionals with the chance to experience a professional-style performing experience.

ODP was developed to serve as an important level in our teaching program for students. It gives students the necessary outlet to develop skills that cannot be learned from any other source than professional performing opportunities. We collaborate with local and regional dance choreographers to bring their works to life through our dancers.

ODP 2018 featured Ruthanna Boris' landmark ballet Cakewalk (1951) staged by Juliette Henning with William Whitener as well as modern and contemporary ballet pieces by Tbd. Dance Collective, Liz Alford, Ashley Durst, Domanic Brown, Chloe Watson, and Juliette Henning. Performances were January 19th at 7:30, January 20th at 7:30, and January 21st at 2:00, and held at the Lied Education Center for the Arts at Creighton University. Questions? Omaha Dance Project is funded in part with the support from Douglas County, Nebraska and the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
