ODP general information:
The Omaha Dance Project (ODP) is the Academy’s community performance program. Open to dancers throughout the community, its goal is to provide non-professionals with the chance to experience a professional-style performing experience.
Participants in ODP learn about the responsibilities and rewards of dance performance by auditioning for roles in the production, making a formal commitment to participate, following a precise rehearsal schedule, and following through to the final dress rehearsals and public performances.
ODP was developed to serve as an important level in our teaching program for students. It gives students the necessary outlet to develop skills that can not be learned from any other source than professional performing opportunities. We collaborate with local and regional dance choreographers to bring their works to life through our dancers.
